Full-time software engineer, full-time geek. I've been breaking, fixing, and automating things for over 25 years. Started in 1999 with a genuine love for C++ and early web frameworks; today I build modern front-ends with TypeScript and React. The tech stack shifted a dozen times, but the geek inside never changed.
Automation-first mentality: custom Node.js & Python scripts, n8n workflows, Home Assistant routines, or self-hosted Proxmox servers... If a task has to be done manually more than twice, I will find a way to code or automate it.
Born in Belgium, 1973. Virgo — which explains the attention to detail, the perfectionism, and the compulsive need to automate everything. Adventurous curiosity and hopefully a good sense of humor. Michelangelo said "Ancora imparo" ("I am still learning") at 87 — I'm just trying to keep the same mindset.
